Ladies Finals 2014 Italian pair Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci becomes
Ladies doubles champions at Wimbledon and becoming the first pair to win all four
major titles since Venus and Serna Williams in 200, with the roof closed on the
centre court they dominated the opening set, wrapping it up in 27 minutes, winning
with a fantastic result of 6-1 and 6-3.
Vinci fired down a service winner to clinch it, prompting Errani to fall to the turf in celebration with Vinci running over to her as the congratulated each other for their success before the pair raced up to the player’s box to embrace friends and family.
The second seeds beat the number 14 seeds, Hungarian Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic from France.
The French-Hungarian duo fought extremely well for the title of ladies doubles Wimbledon championship, with big serves, aggressive returns and both with good doubles brains; however it just wasn’t enough to get the title again the tremendous Errani and Vinci.
Although there is no guarantee that Mladenovic and Babos will ever play again, but we do hope for big things from them as they head to the US for the summer, as Wimbledon saw them both perform extremely well and with determination and with Babos’ getting two titles , and got too the final in Paris alongside Mladenovic.
However the duo doesn’t normally play together and both have played with plenty of doubles this season with a range of partners. We hope to see both of them grabbing more titles in the future and keeping the audience full of anticipation.
